SETTING THE NUMBER
OF RINGS
Set
RING SELECT
on the side of the
base to
3
,
7
, or
TS
to select how long
the TAD waits before it answers a call
(3 rings, 7 rings, or toll-saver).
Note: If you plan to check your mes-
sages by long distance, set the num-
ber of rings to toll-saver (see “Using
the Toll-Saver” on Page 27).
SETTING THE DAY AND
TIME
You must set the day and time so the
TAD can record the correct day and
time of each message.
1. Press
FLASH/REMOTE
on the
handset so the TALK/BATT LOW
indicator lights green.
2. Press
TIME SET/9
on the keypad.
Then enter the day of the week
using the number keys.
3. Using the number keys, enter the
hour. Precede a single-digit hour
with a zero.
4. Using the number keys, enter the
minutes. Precede a single-digit
minute with a zero.
5. Press
for AM or
for PM. A
long beep sounds. The TAD an-
nounces the time you set through
the handset, and then beeps until
the TALK/BATT LOW indicator
turns off.
Notes:
• The seconds start to count from
00 after you set AM or PM.
