STORING YOUR AREA 
CODE

By storing your local area code in the
phone's memory, the area code does
not appear in the Caller ID record dis-
play if it matches the one you stored.

Follow these steps to store your area
code.

1. Lift the handset and hold down

CALL ID

 until Caller ID setup menu

appears with

Note: If an area code is already
stored, it appears on the display. To
delete the area code, press 

DEL/CH

three times. Then enter your new
area code.

4. Press 

SELECT

and return the handset to the base
cradle to store the new setting.

Note: In some areas, the area code is
necessary even for a local call. If you
live in such an area, do not enter the
area code.
