PREPARATION 

INSTALLING/REPLACING BATTERIES

You need two AA batteries (not supplied) to power the Handsfree
Headset Amplifier. For the longest operation and best perfor-
mance, we recommend alkaline batteries, available at your local
RadioShack store.

Cautions: 

• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended

type. 

• Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

• Note: To use battery power, adapter cord should not be con-

nected to the unit even if there is no AC power.

Follow these steps to install batteries.

1. Remove the screw from the bottom of the control unit, then

slide off the battery compartment door in the direction of the
arrow. 

2. Put two AA batteries into the compartment as indicated by the

polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
