Appendix A: Solar Models: Mounting the Solar Panel to the Pole (cont’d)
3. With the provided banding clamps, attach mounting bracket with the solar panel to pole.
Slide bracket up the pole to desired position with the solar panel facing as close to south as possible, and
secure to pole.
The solar panel should be positioned to face south at a 45° angle.
Tighten all nuts on the mounting bracket and solar panel.
Solar panel should be washed with a mild dish detergent and soft cloth every 6 months for optimal
performance.
MEDIUM Solar Panel Mounting Bracket Installation Instructions (For 65 watt panels)
1. Assemble the bracket by attaching the support piece to the larger bracket.
2. Attach the bracket to the pole using the supplied banding clamps.
3. Slide bracket up the pole to desired po-
sition so the solar panel will be facing as
close to south as possible, and secure
to pole.
The solar panel should be

4. Use the remaining bolts and spacers to
secure the solar panel to the bracket.
Tighten all nuts on the mounting bracket
and solar panel.
5. Solar panel should be washed with a
mild dish detergent and soft cloth every
6 months for optimal performance.
