X-band, occupied by police radar, is also shared for other
uses, such as automatic door openers like the ones used
at supermarkets, burglar alarms, terrestrial microwave
emission, and other devices. In addition, other radar
detectors in close proximity may falsely alert your
detector. To reduce false alerts, the RADARHAWK™
TRAVELLER II has four city filtering settings. Each
move (from highway to city 1, city 1 to city 2, city 2 to
city 3) will give you the rejection of X-band alarms by
approximately 20%.
