SET UP FOR OTHER BIRD SPECIES
1.
Press the <SEL> key on the control panel and select the symbol of “other bird species”.
2.
Press briefly (for less than one second) the <OK> key. The incubation period indication (D-01) will
start flashing on the display.
3.
Press the <SEL> key to specify the correct amount of incubation days. In dependence of the egg species
to be incubated, the <SEL> key will have to be pressed as many times as it is necessary to reach the
right amount of incubation days (e.g. pheasant = 23 days). The selectable amount of incubation days has
a range from 1 to 40 days.
4.
Make sure you have input the right amount of incubation days and, after that, press the <OK> key for
approximately 2 seconds to confirm/save your selection.
ATTENTION: in case the incubation period is interrupted by a human error, you can just
restart/continue the incubation process again by setting the remaining incubation days using the
abovementioned keys. Example: if the incubation period of an egg with an incubation period of 21 days
is interrupted on the 15th day, you just have to input 6 days (21-15 = 6).
STOPPING OF THE INCUBATOR
ATTENTION! THIS ACTION IS ONLY ALLOWED IN VERY SPECIFIC CASES. IN CASE THIS ACTION
IS CARRIED OUT DURING REGULAR OPERATION OF THE INCUBATOR, IT MAY CAUSE THE
DEATH OF THE EGGS!
ATTENTION:
Stop the incubator only in the following cases.
The eggs aren’t vital anymore and you have to start a new incubation process with new eggs.
The eggs aren’t vital anymore due to a power failure or malfunction during a longer period of time or the eggs
weren’t good.
The incubator has to be set up again as the amount of incubation days previously set was not correct.
WARNING: a power failure or malfunction during a short period of time may not be fatal to the eggs, provided
that the room temperature at that moment was mild. In case of a brief failure you just can restart/continue the
incubation process where it has been interrupted and according to the remaining incubation days left.
ATTENTION: regardless of whether the malfunction has been caused by human error or by a power failure,
there is a chance that the settings still are available in the memory of the incubator, provided that the failure has
been really short.
STOPPING THE INCUBATOR
Press on both keys of the control panel at the same time for at least three seconds (<SEL> and <OK> key). A
warning signal will sound, the incubator will stop running and the light in it will shut off.
PRECAUTIONS AND AFTERCARE DURING THE INCUBATION PERIOD
After 18 days of the incubation period (in case of chicken eggs) open the lid of the incubator and take the eggs
out carefully. Place the egg tray first in and after that the eggs back into the incubator and then close the lid. The
tray prevents that, during the hatching of the eggs, dirt and dust get into the incubator or in-between the rolls of
the egg turning system.
ATTENTION: when it is time to put the egg tray into the incubator, the display of the control panel will
automatically show. The egg turning is stopped and the symbol of the egg turning system is not showed on the
display anymore.
