which way to lock (clockwise) or
unlock (anticlockwise) the gypsy by
means of the screw.

GYPSY LOCK SCREW
In the upper part of the windlass, two gypsy lock screws (2) are present, either on the drum or on the gypsy cover which
in case of emergency can be used to manually recover the chain.
