Basic Library Operations
This chapter describes the following basic library operating procedures:

Preparing the Cabinet for Operation

Turning the Library On and Off

Using the OCP (Operator Control Panel)

Inserting Tape Cartridges into the Load Port
Inserting Tape Cartridges
To insert tape cartridges:
1
Label each cartridge.

Set the write-protect switch.

Place cartridges (right side up) in the fixed slots.
Caution:
Placing the cartridges in the bins upside down can
cause damage to the library (see
for SDLT
cartridges and
for LTO cartridges).
