Step 4: Install and
Configure Lattus A10
Software and NAS Services
Task:
In this task you install and configure the Lattus A10 software and
NAS services.
Note:
Although the Lattus A10 software uses some StorNext
components and the Lattus A10 graphical user interface
resembles the StorNext GUI, StorNext itself is not installed.
Avoid referencing “StorNext” to customers during the
installation process, and do not refer to the Lattus A10 GUI as
the StorNext interface.
Configuring Lattus for
S3
If you are using the S3 interface, you must prepare Lattus as described
in the
Lattus Service Reference Guide
. Configuration steps include the
following:
• Configuring storage policies for S3
• Adding an S3 management user
• Adding an S3 user and password
• Adding the S3 user name and password to the storage policy
• Enabling S3 storage daemons
• Performing final steps.
