Quantum DXi6902 User’s Guide

Caution:

Use appropriate ESD precautions, including the use of a

grounding strap, when performing this procedure.

Removing and replacing a cooling fan in the Node includes the

following steps:

Identifying a Failed Cooling Fan in the Node

The DXi6902 Node contains six cooling fans that provide cooling for the

processors, expansion cards, and memory modules.
To identify the failed cooling fan:

Access the remote management console (see

Accessing Remote

Management

on page 23).

Navigate to the

Status > Hardware > Details > System Board

page.

Note the number (1–6) of the cooling fan that has a

Failed

status

(see

Figure 53
