UPS

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) provides emergency backup power
for a specific period of time when the local power fails. This power comes
from batteries housed within the UPS. Once you have installed a UPS for
your DPM5500, you can set options for its operation.
To access the
UPS
screen, from the
Maintenance
screen, click the
UPS
link.
The
UPS
screen displays (see
figure 31
).
Enable alert email
Select this option to enable the alert email system.
Send critical
alert email
Select this item to send an email alert when a
critical event has occurred on the DPM5500.
Send warning
alert email
Select this item to send an email alert when a
warning event has occurred on the DPM5500.
Send
informational
alert email
Select this item to send an email alert when a
informational event has occurred on the
DPM5500.
Email
Information
Enter the email information for the network.
Test
Click test to send a test alert email to verify the
system.
