Release Unit (6) Command (17h)
3
The RELEASE UNIT command releases the media changer if it is
currently reserved by the requesting initiator. It is not an error to
release the media changer if it is not currently reserved by the
requesting initiator. If the media changer is reserved by another
initiator, however, it is not released; the media changer is only
released from the initiator that issued the RELEASE command.
Element reservations are not supported.
The SuperLoader LTO implements this command as specified in
SMC-2. Third party reservations are not supported by this
command. RELEASE ELEMENT (10) should be used instead.
