Auxiliary Channel Analyzer – Saving Auxiliary Channel Analyzer Traces
The Aux Channel Analyzer test monitors the DDC channel transactions and hot plug events while emulating
HDMI devices. You can view the details of each transaction and save the traces for viewing on the external
ACA application available from the Quantum Data website.
This subsection provides procedures for saving an ACA trace to a text file for importation and analysis in the
Quantum Data Auxiliary Channel Analyzer (ACA) application. The ACA application is available from the
Quantum Data website on the downloads page:

that you have captured transactions using the 780B
’s ACA feature.
1. From the
Auxiliary Channel Analyzer
screen showing the captured data (see example screen below),
touch select the
Save
activation button.
2. Note you will have to have stopped the capturing of data to save the traces. You stop the traces by
touching the
Stop
button.

3. Touch select the
Save
button to assign a name to your saved trace file. Enter a name using the keyboard.
Press the
Enter
key to save the file.
