remove the grass collector holding its handle with your other hand. To
maintain safety, the deflector guard will close when you remove the grass
collector to seal the rear discharge opening. If any grass drops onto the
ground, it is a good idea to pull the mower away from the area to make it
easier to re-start the motor.
Do not remove grass cuttings in the mower casing or on the cutter by hand or
with your feet. Instead use suitable tools such as a brush or broom. To ensure
efficient grass collection the grass collector and in particular the soft netting
must be cleaned after use.
Only attach the grass collector when the motor is switched off and the blade
has reached a standstill. Raise the deflector guard with one hand and,
holding the grass collector by its handle in your other hand, position it
squarely onto its support.

Cleaning & maintenance

Always disconnect the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work.

Cleaning

Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and
dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it
with compressed air at low pressure.

We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have
finished using it.

Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do

not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of
the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the device.

Replacing the blade (Fig. 6)

If the blade is blunt, it can be sharpened by a specialist workshop. If the
blade is damaged or showing signs of imbalance, it must be replaced.
- Turn the mower over.
- Use sturdy gloves and hold the blade firmly. Turn the blade screw

anticlockwise off of the motor spindle using a screwdriver.

- Install the new blade in the reverse order. Ensure that the blade is

positioned correctly and the screw tightened firmly.
