• Fabrics which have some kind of finish (polishing, wrinkles, contrasts etc.) can be ironed at the
lowest temperatures.
• If the fabric contains several kinds of fibres, always select the temperature which corresponds to
the fibres contained in the highest percentage in the fabric. For example, if an article contains
70% polyester and 30% cotton, you must always choose the temperature corresponding to the
polyester and iron the article without steam.
• For woolen garments, press repeatedly on the steam control button to obtain short burst of steam
without placing the iron on the garment itself.
FILLING THE BOILER
• Place your steam generator on a stable, horizontal and heat-resistant surface.
ATTENTION
: Do not unscrew the appliance unless you are sure that the appliance is unplugged
from the mains and that the pressure inside the boiler has been released.
• Unplug the appliance and unscrew the boiler safety cap. Fill the boiler with 1 liter of water.
• Fill the water filling cup provided up to MAX indication and fill the boiler according to the below
figure:
• After you fill the boiler, screw the boiler safety cap on tightly.
WARNING
: When filling the boiler, never exceed the maximum water level marking MAX as
indicated on filling cup.
WARNING
: Never place the boiler under the tap to fill it with water.
NOTE
: Tap water can be used (see below: “Special Note on Water”).
• During the ironing process, always ensure that there is sufficient water in the water tank.
• Do not put vinegar, chemical substances or other cleaning agents in the boiler.
A SPECIAL NOTE ON WATER
• Your steam generator has been designed to operate using tap water. However if your water is
very hard, use distilled water.
• Do not add any type of chemical water in the removable water tank. Do not use water from
clothes dryers, scented or softened water, water from refrigerators, batteries or air conditioners
as well as rain water. In the above cases the water contains organic waste or mineral elements
that become concentrated when heated and cause pitting, brown staining or premature wear to
the steam generator.
• The use of these types of water will negate the guarantee provided with the product.
• Water containing sediments and alkalis will cause the steam holes and internal workings of the
iron to become blocked. The specially designed steam chamber and the antiscaling valve give
your steam generator and iron protection against furring. You can use tap water in your steam
generator, unless it is particularly hard and your iron is not fitted with an anti-calc filter. In which
case, the use of distilled water is advised.
• To guarantee the maximum life-time of your steam generator and iron:
• Do not use chemically discalced water.
• The harder the water use is, the more frequently the generator should be cleaned (see below in
section “Maintenance”).
