Step One: Remove Hinge Bolts
Put on safety glasses. Start on the Driv-
ers side by removing the two torx bolts
with a T40 Torx bit. As shown, remove
the 2 upper windshield bolts (FIG1) on
2007-Current JK Wrangler vehicles, and
the two lower flush-mount bolts (FIG2)
on a 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ.
Step Two: ID Mirror Side
Identify Right and Left Mirrors. Mirrors
should be marked with a small “R” or
“L” sticker. Arms should point up.
Step Three: Install Hinge Bracket
Remove the adjusting knob, washer,
mirror arm and bushing before installing
the mounting bracket on vehicle.
Brackets need to be mounted with the
weldnut facing down, as shown in
Figure 3. Install two torx head bolts and
tighten using a T40 torx bit and a
ratchet. Be sure to use supplied M8 bolts
for ’07-Current JK. Be sure to use 5/16”
Torx Bolts for ’97-’06 TJ Wrangler. If
bolts do not thread in easily stop and
check to make sure you are using the
correct thread bolt for your vehicle.
READ ALL SAFETY MESSAGES AND ALWAYS WEAR
SAFETY GLASSES WHEN WORKING WITH TOOLS.
