This alternate status of the scroll button signifies that the DVD Navigation data
just inhibits random access in certain specified video range.
To Playback DVD Titles
Step 1: To play back DVD titles, first make sure that CD Mode is currently on.
If MPEG File Mode is the current mode, just click on the button to
toggle to CD Mode.
Step 2: Press the Play button to start playback.
DVD Region Control System
Most DVD titles from Hollywood studios are protected by region code. For
successfully playing a DVD title protected by region code, it requires that the
region settings of your DVD-ROM/DVD player combination and DVD title must
match.
PowerDVD will intelligently determine the region code according to the DVD
movie inserted. For example, the first time you play a DVD movie using
PowerDVD, you may see the following dialogue box:
The actual look of the dialogue box depends on the DVD title inserted. In this
case, simply choose OK to play the title and the region of your DVD-ROM will be
set to 3. PowerDVD will now automatically identify itself as a region-3 player. Next
time you insert other region 3 discs, the dialogue box will not be shown again.
