Set up the Printer

1-9

Setup

Grasp the tab on the top of the developer cartridge and pull
the tab and attached clear tape straight up and out of the car-
tridge.

Remove the black toner cartridge from its protective bag.
(Toner cartridges are color-coded on top.)

Hold the toner cartridge as shown and shake it horizontally.

This distributes toner evenly inside the cartridge and helps
ensure quality printing.
