10.1

Mechanical locking device

When power and compressed air is applied to the mechanical locking device, compressed 
air goes to the cylinders and the locking pin retracts. This will be applied until the 
emergency stop circuit is triggered or a power failure occurs. When this happens air will 
rapidly flow out of the cylinders and the locking pin will hook into the column, hence 
holding the carrier into its position.
