5. USE
5.1 First use
Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories
with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand
new product, then dry thoroughly.
Important!
•
Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish.
•
After transport, unpacking and installation, let the appliance rest at least 2 hours in
vertical position before connecting to the power supply.
•
Let the appliance run for at least 2 hours before inserting fresh or frozen foods.
5.2 Temperature setting
You can independently adjust the temperature of the freezer and refrigerator
compartments. The temperature sensor (5) automatically regulates the internal
temperature.
5.2.1 Refrigerator compartment

Press the
button to set the refrigerator temperature to the
desired setting (2°C, 3°C, 4°C, 6°C or 8°C).
Note:
•
The standard temperature setting is 4°C. Adjust the settings based on your needs.
•
Use the
setting when you place a large amount of fresh food in the
refrigerator compartment. The
setting runs for 2.5 hours to ensure
the food temperature drops faster. Once the set time has elapsed, the appliance
automatically reverts to the previous temperature setting.
5.2.2 Freezer compartment

Rotate the freezer temperature dial to set the freezer
temperature to the desired setting (

5.3 Storing food in the refrigerator compartment
•
Cooked meat/fish should always be stored on a shelf above raw meat/fish to avoid
bacterial transfer. Keep raw meat/fish in a container which is large enough to collect
juices and cover it properly. Place the container on the lowest shelf (6).
•
Leave space around your food to allow air circulation inside the appliance.
•
To prevent the transfer of flavours and stop food from drying out, pack or cover each
item of food separately. Fruit and vegetables do not need to be wrapped.
•
Storing an excessive amount of food may adversely affect the cooling capability of
the refrigerator.
