8.3 “Door is Open” message
This error occurs when the access door is open. Close the access door and restart the
measurement of the microplate.
8.4 “Erratic Results” message
Possible causes :
The DML 3000 is powered ON but has not warmed up
High background condition
If the DML 3000 is not powered ON at all times, allow the DML 3000 to warm up
for at least an hour prior to microplate measurement.
Measure the empty microplate mask.
8.5 Rattling noise or “Mechanical Failure” message
This error may be caused by the plate mask not being secure while the microplate is
in the DML 3000.
Power OFF the DML 3000.
Open the access door.
Reseat the microplate in the plate carrier.
Close the plate mask.
Power ON the DML 3000.
Click the “Cancel” button.
Remeasure the microplate.
8.6 Grinding noise or “Mechanical Failure” message
This error may be caused by the buildup of reagent residue on the plate mask, optical
mask, or guide rails. Clean the DML 3000. See “Cleaning the interior of the
DML 3000,” page 7-1, for additional instructions.
8.7 “Background too high, measurement cancelled” message
This error may be caused by the presence of fluorescing contamination, causing the
background to be out of range. Clean the DML 3000. See “Cleaning the interior of the
DML 3000,” page 7-1, for additional instructions.
