AWARD BIOS Description
Entering Setup
Pow er on the computer, w hen the follow ing message briefly appears at the bottom of
the screen during the POST (Pow er On Self Test), press <Del> key or simultaneously
pres s the <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <Esc> keys, to enter the A WARD BIOS CMOS Setup Utility.
Press <Del> to enter SETUP
Once you have entered, the Main Menu (Figure 1) appears on the screen. The main menu
allow s you to select from eleven setup functions and tw o ex it choices. Use the arrow
keys to select among the items and pr ess the <Enter> key to accept or enter the sub-
menu.

Load Optimized Defaults
The Optimized Defaul ts are common an d efficient. It is recommen ded users
load the optimized d efaults first, then mod ify the needed configura tion
se tti ng s.
Standard CMOS Features Setup
The basic CMOS settings included in “ Standar d CMOS Featur es” are Date, Time, Hard
Disk Drive Ty pes , Floppy Disk Drive Ty pes , and VGA etc.
Use the a rro w keys to
