Low Voltage Power components: 
J1, FUSE  
D1, D2 - 1N5819 
IC1 - 7805 
C1 - 470µF 
C2 - 100 µF 

Start by installing D1 and D2. Align the white band on the components 
with the band marked on the PCB. 

 

 

 

 

Proceed to mount the other components of this step. The two capacitors 
are polarised: the longer lead goes in the hole marked ‘+’. Keep the IC1 
mounted vertical for the moment. It can be bent over to lower the profile 
of the board at the end of assembly. 

 

The PCB should now look like the picture below:
