D. Remove Factory Door Lock (Only for handles with Key Holes)

Step 1
:
Remove the factory door lock from the factory door
handle.
Step 2
:
There is three parts to the lock. First you have the top
piece which acts as a lock. All you have to do is slide that piece
forward so it will come off.
Step 3
:
Remove the second part of the lock this is the part
that the rod attaches to it will slide right off. (Fig. D-1)

Step 4
:
Removing the lock will require you to remove a
piece of tape so you can push a pin down shown in Figure D-2
so you slide the lock out.
E. Install Factory Door Lock (For Handles w/Key Holes)
Step 1
:
To install your lock you will need to assemble it
the same way you took the lock apart.

Step 2
:
Check the lock by using your key to make sure
the lock functions properly.
NOTE: ON SOME APPLICATIONS IT MAY BE NECESSARY
TO SWITCH THE PASSENGER LOCK TO THE DRIVER SIDE
AND THE DRIVER’S TUMBLER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE
FOR PROPER INSTALLATION.
F. Install Replacement Door Handle
Step 1
:
Make sure the rods are in place on the inside of the

door so you can attach them to your door handle.
Step 2
:
Attach the rod to the lock first and then attach the
second rod to the handle.
Step 3
:
Insert the replacement door handle into the opening.
It may take some wiggling to get the door handle to slip
into place.
Note: When inserting the Door Handle be
careful not to scratch your door.
Step 4
:
Install the two 10mm bolts and star screws you took
out in Step C-1.
