7 Mechanical condition check
It consists of a visual inspection of the submersible wastewater pump in terms of its mechanical
condition.
In particular, check:
−
Intactness of the supply cable, its fixing in the pump cbale gland.
−
At the same time, check whether the gland cover (nut) is sufficiently tightened for proper sealing of the
inlet cable.
−
The degree of wear of parts caused by operation.
8 Installation
8.1 Necessary to install the following devices
Single-phase device is connected by a fork to a single-phase power grid with a maximum fuse of
16 A. Care must be taken to ensure that the wiring of the sockets is in accordance with IEC
60364-4-41. However, it is necessary to make sure that the voltage on the label of the electric
motor corresponds to the mains voltage.
ENSURE THAT THE VOLTAGE CORRESPONDS TO THE PUMP NAMEPLATE!
8.2 Installation
−
Before installation, you must carefully check whether any parts have been damaged during transport
or storage. For example, whether the cable and plug are in good condition and the insulation
resistance is higher than 2 MΩ. In case of any problem, contact your dealer or a qualified technician.
−
Check that the power supply corresponds with the information on the namelate. The pump must be
grounded to be safe.
−
Before installation, you must check that the cord and plug are not damaged, scratched, broken, etc.
If they are defective, contact your dealer or a qualified technician.
−
Use a steel tool or clamp to tighten the outlet and delivery pipe, then tie the cable to the handle so
that the pump can be moved up and down.
−
Stretching and squeezing the cable is completely prohibited. The cable cannot be used for tying. To
avoid leakage current do not pull on the cable while the pump is running.
−
The power supply line connected to the pump must contain a current protector (Ifn = 30mA) and the
voltage must be within ±15% of the nominal value to prevent damage to the motor.
−
For safety reasons, do not touch or move the pump before disconnecting it from the power supply.
−
Make sure that the connection part between the plug and the cable is not close to water.
−
Ensure that the plug and cable are away from heat, oil and sharp objects.
9 Electric connection
Only person with the appropriate professional competence in electrical engineering in accordance
with decree may carry out the electrical installation. Check if the voltage on the motor's nameplate
corresponds to the mains voltage.
