This manual is intended to provide instructions for the use and care of the Pulse
Xyleject
injection device, but it
does not replace effective hands-on training by an experienced user / trainer. Complete familiarity with this
product is required prior to field injection.

SAFE HANDLING PRECAUTIONS:
1)
DO NOT
allow operation by inexperienced and/or untrained personnel. The device should be used
only by trained personnel over the age of eighteen (18).
2)
Always point the device in a safe direction.
Never point the device at another person.
Note: Injection fluid is expelled in a perpendicular direction from the needle tip, in two opposite
directions. Use caution to ensure that the device is not pointed at another person in these
perpendicular directions.
3)
Keep your hand and fingers away from the tip of the needle during handling
.
4)
Needle sticks can transmit life-threatening diseases if shared.
Contaminated needles should be
immediately placed in an approved Biohazard Sharps waste container. For details, see U.S.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations at 29 CFR 1910.1030.
5) The
Xyleject
System is designed for use solely with grapevine injections and should
never be used for
other plant, animal or human injections
.
6) Store the device
in the “Safety ON” position and disconnected
from the pressure system. Place the device in the holster
when not injecting vines to avoid needlesticks or other injuries.

Tanks in high temperatures above
90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Warning! This product requires the use of sharp objects.
Needle sticks can transmit life threatening diseases if shared.
Follow precautionary measures to prevent needle sticks during
injector handling. Personal Protective Equipment is required.
Discard needles in an approved Biohazard Sharps waste container.
