Front Panel Connectors

45

USB Connector (J1)

The AMC131 has a Type-A vertical USB connector on its front panel.

shows the USB connector pinout.

Console Port Connector (J2)

The front panel console port is an RJ-11 connector with RS-232 signal levels and 15kV ESD
protection. It is pinned for data terminal equipment (DTE) operation.

Note: The AMC131 does not support Request-to-Send (RTS), Clear-to-Send (CTS), and
modem-control signals.

The RJ-11 console port is multiplexed to support both the MPC8641D processor and the
Module Management Controller (MMC). For more information about the console port
functionality, see

“Console Port,” on page 28
