KEY
SWITCH
in
the
AUTO
posi on,
press
START
to
cycle
the
machine
and
ini ate
AUTO
mode.
The
audible
warning
will
sound
for
5
seconds,
the
warning
light
will
fl
ash,
and
the
compactor
will
com
‐
plete
a
cycle.
Warning
light
will
con nue
to
fl
ash
as
long
as
the
compactor
remains
in
AUTO
mode.
If
the
light
turns
o
ff
,
the
compactor
is
no
longer
in
AUTO
mode
and
the
START
bu on
will
have
to
be
pressed
to
return
to
AUTO
mode.
If
the
photo
eye
“sees”
something
at
the
end
of
the
cycle
the
motor
will
con nue
to
run
but
the
ram
will
pause
for
3
seconds
to
allow
trash
in
the
hopper
to
fall
into
the
charge
box.
A er
the
3
second
pause
the
ram
will
con nue
forward
and
complete
another
cycle.
At
the
end
of
the
cycle,
if
the
eye
does
not
“see”
any
more
trash
the
motor
will
stop
and
the
process
is
over.
The
eye
will
con nue
to
“look”
for
more
trash.
Momentary
blocking
of
the
eye
(falling
trash)
will
have
no
e
ff
ect.
When
the
eye
is
blocked
for
5
full
sec
‐
onds
the
warning
horn
will
sound.
If
the
eye
con nues
to
stay
blocked
for
the
next
6
seconds
the
warn
‐
ing
horn
stops
and
the
compactor
will
start.
If
the
eye
is
cleared
before
the
compactor
starts
the
com
‐
pactor
will
not
start
and
the
process
is
reset.
Auto
with
“NO
WARNING”
set
(Does
NOT
comply
with
ANSI)
There
are
some
instances
where
an
audible
warning
prior
to
each
intermi ent
start
may
not
be
possible.
The
owner
and
installer
must
take
addi onal
safety
precau ons
to
insure
it
is
safe
to
turn
this
o
ff
.

To
turn

prior
to
each
intermi ent
start,
open
the
panel
and
locate
the
Zen
controller
(
fi
gure
A
below).
Go
to
status
screen
by
pressing
[ESC
0].
The
top
line
of
Status
Screen
will
have
the
pro
‐
gram
version
(e.g.
“V
‐
P
V6.0
EX”).
Press
and
release
[4
]
and
[ALT
7]
at
the
same
me.
You
should
see
“No
Warning”
on
the
bo om
line.
If
not,
release
and
do
it
again.
These
bu ons
toggle
the
feature
on
and
o
ff
.
