D.2 Mount the protective cap (plug guard) over the air
extraction device and screw it in place. Use one of the
two protective caps enclosed, depending on the plug
design. Occasionally it may be necessary to perform
small adjustments to the protective cap.
D.3 AS-4080 in the power socket (power source). The green
„Power“ LED now lights up.
Functional test of the system
„ Switch on the air extraction device and open the window.
The green „Power“ LED is constantly on. The air extraction
device switches to operating mode.
„ Close the window, air extraction device switches off. The
green „Power“ LED is constantly on. The air extraction device
switches to standby mode.
„ After this functional test, your system is ready for use.
Repeat this functional test at regular intervals for your own
safety!
NOTE
With some air extraction hoods, it may be the case that the
exhaust air control issues a constant acoustic signal as soon
as the window is closed.
In order to check whether this is actually due to a fault in the
exhaust air control, you can connect a lamp instead of the air
extraction hood. No fault should be indicated by the lamp.
If the fault is also reported by the lamp, the air extraction
device is faulty.

Installation for tilt position:
Hold the sensor in place on the handle side of the
window at the bottom on the window frame and hold
the magnet on the window casement. Now slowly
move both parts (sensor on the frame and magnet on
the titled window casement) in parallel on the window
to the top, until the control unit is actuated. Fix the
magnet and switch at this position!
Installation for turn position:
Hold the sensor in place at the bottom side of the
window near the hinge on the window frame and hold
the magnet on the window casement. Now slowly move
both parts (sensor on the frame and magnet on the
turned window casement) in parallel on the window
away from the hinges, until the control unit is actuated.
Fix the magnet and switch at this position!
C.3 Functional test of the window tilt and turn position
„ Move the window slowly into the tilt or turn position,
according to the installation type selected by you; the control
unit is actuated before the maximum tilt position is reached.
„ Close the window, control unit switches off.
„ Finally once again check the gap openings against the
minimum value specified in the table!

D.1 Insert the plug for the air extraction device in control
unit socket.
