PA-6225 SERIES USER MANUAL

3-6. BIOS UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

3-6-1. Before System BIOS UPDATE

Prepare a bootable media (e.g. USB storage device) which can boot system to
DOS prompt.

Download and save the BIOS file (e.g.

62253PD2.bin

) to the bootable device.

Copy AMI flash utility – AFUDOS.exe (V5.07) into the bootable device.

Make sure the target system can first boot to the bootable device.

Connect the bootable USB device.

Turn on the computer and press <Del> or <Esc> key during boot to enter
BIOS setup menu.

System will go into the BIOS setup menu.

Select [Boot] menu as the picture shows below.

Select [Hard Drive BBS Priorities], set the USB bootable device as the 1

boot device.

Press <F4> key to save configuration and exit the BIOS setup menu.
