Basic Operation 2

Speaker On/Off

Press the SPEAKER button to turn the speakers on or off.
When ON is selected, the SPEAKER indicator lights.

Headphones

For private listening, first reduce the volume level on the
receiver to minimum. Then insert the plug from your
headphones into the PHONES jack, and adjust the
volume by turning the VOLUME knob.

If you want to cut off the sound from speakers, press the
SPEAKER button to turn it off.

•When the SPEAKER button is set to off, the multi-

channel sound is downmixed to 2 channel automatically.

•When EXTERNAL IN is selected, only the front left and   

right channels are output from the PHONES jack.
