5.18   SCREW CONNECTIONS INSPECTION

TIGHTENING TORQUES FOR SCREW 

CONNECTIONS

During maintenance and repair work, apply 
appropriate tightening torques to screw 
connections, unless other tightening pa-
rameters are given. Recommended tight-
ening torques for the most commonly used 
bolted connections are shown in the Table 
(5.4). The given values apply to non-lubri-
cated steel bolts
The hydraulic hoses should be tightened 
with a torque of  50 -70Nm.
Check the tightness using a torque wrench

.  

During daily inspection of the trailer pay 
attention to loose connections and tighten 
the connector if necessary. Replace lost 
items with new ones.
