Precision Actuation for Industry
6. Place hex wrench in the top #4 cam set screw, loosen and move
cam back counterclockwise and then clockwise into the switch until the
switch “clicks”. Then move 1 degree further into the switch and snug
up on the set screw. This will assure the aux switch will “trip” before
the actuator reaches it’s end of travel.
7. Apply Power to the actuator and generate a MAXIMUM position
control signal (as set with the DIP switch selection above). The actuator
will drive to its full CCW position and stop. If the STOP position is not
calibrated properly (valve/damper not fully OPEN or CLOSED), the
stop cam will need to be adjusted as follows:
Remove power from the actuator. Insert a 2.5mm hex key
into the #1 cam and loosen the setscrew. Rotate the cam clockwise
to make the actuator drive further OPEN (later), or rotate the cam
counterclockwise to have the actuator stop sooner. Make only SMALL
adjustments each move. Reapply power and check the new setting.
Snug up on the set screw when adjustment is correct.
5. Apply Power to the actuator and generate a MINIMUM position
control signal (as set with the DIP switch selection above). The
actuator will drive to its full CW position and stop. If the STOP position
is not calibrated properly (valve/damper not fully OPEN or CLOSED),
the stop cam will need to be adjusted as follows:
Remove power from the actuator. Insert a 2.5mm hex key into
the #2 cam and loosen the setscrew. Rotate the cam counterclockwise
to make the actuator drive further CLOSED (later), or rotate the
cam clockwise to have the actuator stop sooner. Make only SMALL
adjustments each move. Reapply power and check the new setting.
Snug up on the set screw when adjustment is correct.

4. With the power OFF, set the 8 position DIP switch for proper
operation.
For 4-20mA Input, 1 is ON, 2 is OFF (default)
For 1-5vdc Input, 1 is OFF, 2 is OFF
For 2-10vdc INput, 1 is OFF, 2 is ON
For 4-20mA Feedback, 3 is OFF, 4 is ON, 5 is OFF (default)
For 2-10vdc Feedback, 3 is ON, 4 is OFF, 5 is ON
For Direct Acting (5v/10v/20mA = OPEN) 6 is OFF (default)
For Reverse Arcing (5v/10v/20mA = CLOSED) 6 is ON
Loss of signal drives CLOSED, 7 is OFF, 8 is ON
Loss of signal drives OPEN, 7 is ON, 8 is OFF
Loss of signal Fails in position, 7 is ON, 8 is ON (default)
