Installation for HVAC System Scenting
Operation
The AirQ generates micro-droplets 1/100th the diameter of a human hair from a reservoir of liquid
in a disposable cartridge. These micro-droplets behave like a vapor. They are passed through a
silicon tube and injected into the airflow of the air handler using an injector tube that is installed in a
hole in the ductwork. The micro-droplets blend with the air in the ducting to deliver a uniform effect
throughout the area served.
The AirQ 570 device with HVAC kit incorporates an Airflow switch, a sensor tube, an injector tube, a
fragrance supply tube and duct-mounting detailing within a unitary molded housing.
Airflow Switching
The AirQ 570 with HVAC kit is operated only when the fan or blower is operating to ensure uniform,
even distribution. To make this possible a 12V airflow switch is provided.
Determining the Location of Airflow Switch
The airflow switch should be mounted vertically on the side of the air duct at a convenient location
and downstream from the furnace. Caution: Do not mount airflow switch on return side. The airflow
switch and the female connector on the lower right side of the AirQ appliance should be less than 5
feet apart. The hose run to the Sensor Tube should be as short as possible and less than 1 foot.
