3.10 Adjusting the start address and DMX channels
For operating the light effect unit with a light controller, adjust the DMX start address for the first DMX chan -
nel. If e. g. on the controller the address 33 is provided for controlling the pan motion of the moving head,
adjust the start address 33 on the M200LED. Then the other functions of the unit are automatically assigned
to the following 6 channels (in this example 34 to 39). As the next possible start address for the following
DMX-controlled unit, the address 40 could be used for this example.
1. Adjusting the DMX start address:
• Press the MENU button (2) once so that the display (1) will show Addr . Never wait for more than 8
seconds to press the next button, otherwise the adjusting procedure will be stopped.
• Press the ENTER button (4). The adjusted address will be displayed.
• With the DOWN or UP button (3), adjust the address and memorize it with the ENTER button.
2. To exit the menu, keep the MENU button pressed until the display switches back to the start address or
to the selected show programme number or wait for approx. 8 seconds.
3. As soon as control signals from the DMX controller are received, the LED DMX (5) lights up and the dis -
play shows the start address. The unit can now be operated with the DMX controller. channels.
4. By turning the lens bring the light pattern into focus.
