projectiondesign unique Colour Wheel Options
All projectiondesign professional F-series projectors have the option of user
specified colour wheels options, to perfectly match application requirements.
DLP™ technology creates projected images by presenting colours in a
sequential format, using the primary colours red, green, and blue to create
and reproduce any computer or video generated colour or combination of
colours. Sequential colour display works by displaying only one single colour
at the time, for very short periods, so that the eye and brain interprets the
resulting image as a full colour one. Switching between the primary colours,
thus creating full colour images, happens incredibly fast, imperceptible to the
human eye.
By giving the user or integrator the option to specify colour wheels,
projectors can be tailored to specific requirements and applications,
such as pure black and white imaging, wide colour gamut simulation and
visualization, general graphics display, medical imaging, and so forth.
Each colour wheel option gives slightly different performance characteristics,
enabling a perfect match to the desired applcation.
What are the options?
Each model has slightly different options, depending on their specification
and construction. There are, however, certain options that can fill or fit the
same requirements, even though the actual colour wheel is different. There
are three main categories:
High Brightness
General Graphics Display
Visualization and Simulation
Obviously, colour wheels that fit into these three categories can also be used
for other applications. More applications in general, and their anticipated
requirements, are listed below.
