Thank you for purchasing these high quality binoculars. Please read these instructions

1. General information
These binoculars are ideal for making observations in the great outdoors (e.g. bird watching, obser-
ving the coast, hunting, astronomy, water or air sports), for holidays or sporting events. Multicoated,
particularly translucent lens technology with an adjustable dioptre control.
2. Information on safety and use
- Try to avoid severe shaking resp. vibrations. When not being used, store the binoculars in a dry place
in the case included in delivery.
- Avoid keeping the binoculars in a motor vehicle for longer periods of time, particularly during ex-
treme sunshine, rainy weather or cold. The significant differences in temperature and humidity as well
as vibrations, which can occur, can damage the lenses.
- Never look directly into the sun with the binoculars or with your bare eyes! This can lead to severe
eye damage or even result in blindness!
3. Basic principles, terms
Binoculars are usually characterised by a number combination, here 8 x 56. The 8 indicates the mag-
nification factor and 56 the diameter of the lens in millimetres. Given that this diameter determines
how much light can penetrate the lens, it is an essential attribute for the capability of the binoculars,
particularly at dawn and twilight. The observation range (visual field) of the binoculars is the field of vi-
sion at a 1000 m distance. This amounts to approx. 115 m for these binoculars. The dioptre control
enables an adjustment of a user’s visual impairment. It is carried out using the rotatable right eye-
piece.
