3. RANGES OF APPLICATION
These pumps are made for pumping clear water (free of mud and sand, see technical data and
point 6)
The pumps are made for the following ranges of application:
l
Filling and emptying rain tanks and containers
l
For water re-circulation
l
For rainwater use in house and garden
l
Pumping water from a brook a stream
l
Use in a pond
l
Others

IMPORTANT!
The pumps are designed for pumping clean water and chemically non-aggressive liquids. Any gua-
rantee is void in case of improper use. They are not suitable for pumping flammable liquids or for use
in places where there is danger of an explosion. The pumps are designed for home use in the house
and garden. The pumps are not designed for continuous operation or for professional work. Never run
more than 5 minutes against a closed valve pump. Save the pump against dry running (install dry run
protection).
Never start and stop the pump more than 20 times per hour. When the pump clocks, any
claim under warranty is void. Not suitable for use with solar photovoltaic panels. Submersi-
ble pumps may not be used in swimming pools.
4. OPERATION
The installation must be performed by a qualified professional.
Please, check each time before using, the electrical connections and the cables are not
damaged. Check before the installation whether the electrical connections are earthed
according to the statutory regulations and are installed. The pump is to be secured
through a RCD circuit breaker with release current of 30 mA.
Also, it is NOT recommended to perform, for example, a cable extension. It is not certain
whether this modification is technically correct, so this warranty is void. It must be en-
sured that the pump is sufficiently cooled during prolonged operation.
It is not recommended to perform even cable extensions or other technical modifica-
tions. A transfer of mechanical loads or vibrations from the pump or must be eliminated
through appropriate measures (rubber buffers, braided hoses, line fixation, etc.).
All cables to and from the pump must be sealed. Check valve and water pipes for leaks
at least by means of pressure testing for 24h.
5. INSTALLATION (Please also refer to page 12)
Attach a sufficiently long and strong rope to the handle before first use. The pump is submerged
into the liquid on this holding rope and can also be carried with it as well as with the handle.
Note:
In the case of continuous use of the pump with the rope, the condition of the rope
must be checked regularly as it can decay and break over time.
l
Connect pressure pipe.
For occasional use, use a suitable water hose. The use of rigid pipes with a non-return valve
is recommended for use at a fixed location. This prevents return flow of the liquid when swit-
ching off.
l
Screw pressure line onto the pressure connection. All threaded connections must be sealed
with thread sealing tape (e. g. Teflon® tape).
l
When using a hose, screw a suitable hose adapter onto the pressure connection. – Push the
hose firmly onto the hose adapter and secure with a hose clamp.
