1. INTRODUCTION
We would like to congratulate you on the purchase of our flow switch. We appreciate your trust. That‘s why funtional
security and operational safety stands by us on first place.
To prevent damage to persons or property, you should read this user manual carefully. Please
observe all safety precautions and instructions for proper use of the AC3. Failure to follow the
instructions and safety precautions can result in injury or property damage.
Please keep this manual with the instructions and safety instructions carefully in order to at any
time you can restore them.
2. IN GENERAL
The AC3 is a circuit device that an electrical load (pump) automatically switches on and off. The device monitors the
pressure and the flow in the pressure line. Depending upon the pressure or the flow rate, the AC switch 5 one or
more electrical consumers (MAX 12A) on and off.
The AC3 is to be used exclusively for non abrasive clear water without debris and other dirt. In the opposite case, an
effective pre-filter with a mesh size should be installed no coarser than 0.2 mm in front of the device.
The manometer indicates the pressure in the system. It helps to monitor the proper pump function and to detect
leaks in the system.
Make sure after unpacking that the data given on the nameplate agree with the foreseen operating conditions. When
in doubt, the operation is prohibited.
Transport damages are reported immediately to the transport company and to us in writing.
Please read the user manual before using

3. INSTALLATION
l
The device is installed at any point between the outlet of the pump and the first collector, so that the direction of the
arrow on the side between the two 1 „connections with the flow direction of the fluid in the pipeline matches. Make sure
that the hydraulic connections are completely sealed. If a pump with maximum pressure used above 7 bar, a pressure
reducer at the entrance of the device must be installed. The pump controller is to be used only for pumps that produce a
minimum pressure of 2.5 bar at the device installation point.
l
The electrical connection of the unwired version is after the electrical diagram (see paragraph. 13) produce. If a consu-
mer is used with a power more than 1.1 kW and the ambient temperature is higher than 25 ° C, must be used for the
wiring is not less than 99 ° C cable with heat resistance. For wiring, only use this specific pliers. When ready to plug in
wired version, it is sufficient to connect the power cord of the pump with the outlet of AC3 and shut the power plug of AC3
to an electrical outlet the power grid on.
l
The pressure at which the device starts is set to 1.5 bar, this pressure is optimal for most applications. It can be changed
by an expert by means of adjusting screw (top).
l
The height of the water column above the AC3 should not exceed 10m.
Warning: no additional check valve should be installed between the pump and the AC3, as it sometimes
causes problems.
