1. Important Safety Instructions
When using any electrically powered product, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the following:

USING THE PRODUCT.
WARNING - to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury to
persons or property:
1.
Great care must be taken when humidifiers are used in children's rooms. Do
not allow the power cord to hang down where children can reach it. Keep the
unit well back from the edge of tables so that it cannot be upset. Children
should not be allowed to play with the packing materials used with this
product.
2.
Do not use this appliance near baths, washbasins or shower units.
3.
If this appliance becomes immersed in water, unplug it before removal and do
not reuse until it has been checked by an authorized service department.
4.
The appliance must not be operated (disconnect the mains plug immediately)
when:
•
the appliance, casing or cable is damaged.
•
the appliance shows visible signs of damage.
•
a fault is suspected after a fall or the like.
5.
Disconnect the mains plug:
•
in case of faults during use.
•
before cleaning or moving the appliance from place the place.
•
after use.
6.
Never pull the plug out of the socket with wet hands.
7.
Never carry nor pull the appliance by the flex.
8.
Do not bend the flex or wind it around the appliance.
9.
Do not use in freezing conditions.
10. Do not run the cable under a carpet or rug. Arrange the cable so that it is
located out of those areas used most frequently, and in such a way that no
one can trip over it.
11. Never put the appliance on hot surfaces or near open flames. Lay the flex so
that it does not touch hot or sharp-edged objects.
12. Attention! The appliance is hot after it is switched off. Let it stand for a short
time before it is moved. Do not operate the appliance in the open air.
13. Never fill hot water in the water tank.
14. Never add fragrant oils.
15. Position the appliance so that steam emitted does not damage wooden
furniture or other items.
16. Never operate the appliance with any air opening blocked. Keep ventilation
openings free from dust. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
17. Only trained personnel should repair electrical appliances. Unskilled repairs
can cause considerable danger to the user.
18. If the connection cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, his after-sales services department or qualified person in
order to avoid risks.
2. BS Plug Wiring
Wiring Instructions: Should it be necessary to change the
plug please note the wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code :
BLUE - NEUTRAL
BROWN - LIVE
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not
correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, proceed as follows:
1. The
BLUE
wire is the
NEUTRAL
and must be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter
N
or coloured
BLACK
.
2. The
BROWN
wire is the
LIVE
and must be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter
L
or coloured
RED.
3. Always ensure that the cord grip is positioned and fastened
correctly.
If a
13A (BS 1363)
fused plug is used it must be fitted with a 3A fuse. If
in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
