OPERATION
•
Plug the mains lead into a 13 Amp mains socket that is protected by a
30 mA Residual Current Device (RCD). Never use equipment outdoors
that is connected to a socket that is not protected by an RCD.
•
If the unit is to be permanently connected to the mains supply then this
should be done by a qualified electrician.
•
If connecting via an extension lead, make sure that the lead is rated at
10 Amps or more, and that it is fully unwound.
•
Switch the unit on at the mains socket.
•
The unit can be controlled from the front panel or by remote control. The
buttons on the front panel (fig.7) and remote control (fig.8) have the
following functions
•
L (L+ on Remote Control) this turns on the integrated light, the light
has 5 brightness settings and repeated pressing of the L (L+)
button cycles through them. Pressing the L on the front panel a
sixth time will turn the light off.
•
L- (Remote Control Only) this button dims and turns off the
integrated light.
•
H (Front Panel Only) Turns on and off the 2 heating bars. The unit
has 3 power modes and off, bottom tube (1150 W), top tube (1150
W) and both tubes (2300 W). Press the button gain to turn them all
off.
•
H1 & H2 (Remote Control Only) independently turns off and on the
two heating tubes. H1 = Bottom, H2 = Top.
•
Eco (Panel & Remote Control) this puts the unit into Eco mode, in
this position the unit’s heating elements will come on when
movement is detected within 2-3 metres (LED flashes red). The
unit will turn off 5 minutes after the last movement is detected (LED
flashes green). You can select the power settings for this mode by
manually selecting the desired heating tubes and then pressing the
eco button. Only the selected tubes will then operate when persons
are present.
•
Do not touch the grille when the heater is in operation, because it will be
hot and may cause burns.
•
Unplug the heater from the mains when not in use.
•
To adjust the angle, switch off the heater and allow it to cool for 15
minutes. Slacken the pivot screws, and adjust the reflector to the
preferred angle. Re-tighten the screws. The heater may now be
switched on.
