Automatic Pump Mounting Diagram

Push the pump over the four #10-24 studs mounted on the bottom of the
storage tank. The
Automatic Pump Mounting Diagram above shows
the correct inlet/outlet orientation for the pump.

Secure the pump to the storage tank using four #10-24 kep nuts with a
3/8” nut driver, socket and ratchet or pliers.
6.
Remove the Grey ½” cap from the ½”drain nipple on the bottom of the
storage tank with
a 10” adjustable wrench or pliers.
7.
Screw one ½” FPT x ½” elbow to the nipple where the cap was removed.
Tighten using a 10” adjustable wrench so that the elbow points towards
the outlet of the pump (No thread sealant is required as these fittings seal
with a compression cone).
8.
Remove any blue caps from the pump inlet and outlet by unscrewing
counter-clockwise (pliers may be required).
9.
Remove the Nut, Cone and Ring from the remaining two ½” FPT x ½”
elbows by unthreading counter-clockwise. Keep these in order and
available, do not lose them!
10.
Screw an elbow onto the inlet side of the pump. Tighten using a 10”
adjustable wrench and position towards the first elbow installed on the
storage tank drain. Use caution not to over-tighten the elbow onto the
pump.
11.
Remove the Nut, Cone and Ring from the tank drain elbow.
12.
Cut a section of ½” OD water line to fit between tank drain elbow and
pump inlet elbow.
NOTE:
Measure the distance between elbows and add 1 ½” to allow
for inserting hose into elbows: hose length of about 11 inches. See the
following Diagram.
