Disengage all com m and levers before st art ing t he
eng ine.

This unit  has a clut ch. Sq ueeze t he clut ch cont rol
lev er and  check  t hat  it  ret urns  aut o m at ically   t o
the neutral position. If it does not, have unit adjusted
b y  a q ualified  rep air p ersonnel.

Engage t he clut ch gradually. Sudden engagem ent
could  cause t he m achine t o  rear-up .

op erat ing . Keep  a firm  g rip  on t he hand leb ars. Be
aw are t hat  t he m achine m ay unexpect edly bounce
up w ard  or jum p  forw ard .

If t he unit  st rikes a foreign object , st op t he engine,
d isconnect  t he spark p lug , t horoug hly insp ect  t he
m achine for any  d am ag e, and  rep air t he d am ag e
b efore rest art ing  and  op erat ing  t he m achine.

Use ext rem e caut io n w hen in rev erse o r p ulling
t he m achine t ow ard s you.

Do not  overload  t he m achine’s cap acit y.

Never op erat e t he unit  at  hig h t ransp ort  sp eed s
on hard  or slip p ery  surfaces.

Exercise ext rem e caut ion w hen op erat ing  on or
crossing  g ravel d rives, w alks, or road s. St ay alert
f o r   h id d en   h az ar d s  o r   t r af f ic .  D o   n o t  c ar r y
p asseng ers or ob ject s.

Never leave t he op erat ing  p osit io n and  leave t he
t ract or unat t end ed  w hen t he eng ine is running .

Do not  t ravel dow n hill w it h t he clut ch disengaged
or t he g ears in id le.

and  shut  t he t ool off .

To red uce exp osure t o vib rat ion, lim it  t he hours
of operat ion and t ake periodic breaks t o m inim ize
rep et it ion and  rest  your hand . Red uce t he sp eed
and force in w hich you do t he repet it ive movement .
Try   t o   f ill  each  d ay   w it h  jo b s  w here  o p erat ing
hand -held  p ow er eq uip m ent  is not  req uired .
