Move the spring, holding the cole brush aside, remove the wire connector and pull out the cole,
install the new one (don’t forget to reposition the spring) and close the brush caps again.
Let the machine run freely without load for a while, allowing the coles to fit right (sparking may
occur, but is not harmful and will disappear after a while)
If you are not confident to perform this by yourselves, ask a qualified person to do it for you.

7.4

Mounting the side handle (Fig 5)

The side handle can be used for both left-hand and right-hand control.

Fasten the side handle for left-hand operation on the right-hand side of the machine.

Fasten the side handle for right-hand operation on the left-hand side of the machine.

Fasten the side handle for upright working at the top of the machine.

Make sure that the side handle is fastened properly and cannot loosen
unexpectedly.

8  OPERATION

8.1

Pay special attention when starting the machine

Clamp the workpiece and make sure that the workpiece cannot slide from under the
machine during the cutting activities.

When working with the machine, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a
secure stand.

Always direct the cable to the rear away from the machine to avoid cutting the electric
cable.

Insert the mains plug only when the machine is switched off.

Apply the machine to the workpiece only when switched on and when it has reached full
speed.

When cutting into walls! Make sure to avoid hidden electrical wiring (electric shock!) or
pipes (water, gas...).

Make sure the grinding/cutting disc is not contacting the work piece before the switch is
turned on.

Keep hands away from rotating parts.

Never use the machine for grinding magnesium workpieces.

8.2

Switching On (Fig 6)

To switch on:
POWXQ5104:

press the “lock on” safety knob at the left side of the handle, keep it pressed

then squeeze the on/Off switch.
Allow the disc to reach full speed before you touch the workpiece.

8.3

Switching Off (Fig 7)

To switch off:
POWXQ5104 : simply release the ON/OFF switch, the machine will be switched OFF.
The disc will gradually slow down and eventually stop after a few seconds.

Do not put the machine down when the disc is still turning.

Never unplug a running machine, always switch off first before pulling out the
plug!
