
- Check if the lock is secure by pulling the blade.
Replacing the power cable
If the power cable for the charger is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
after-sales service or similarly trained personnel
to avoid danger.
Storage
- Protect the cutting blade with the blade guard.
- Store the equipment and accessories out of
children’s reach in a dry place at above freezing
temperature. The ideal storage temperature is
between 5 and 30 °C. Special cares shall be taken
if the battery is not used for a long period. Please
refer to special instructions regarding the battery
and the tips of how to charge the battery.

Please quote the following data when ordering
replacement parts:

- Replacement part required
Environment protection
Rechargeable batteries and cordless
electric machines and tools contain
materials that are potentially harmful to
the environment. Never place any cordless
electric machines or tools in your household
refuse. When cordless electric machines or tools
become defective or worn, remove the
rechargeable batteries and return them to the
recycling location. Ask your dealer or local
council. If the rechargeable batteries cannot be
removed, return the complete cordless machine
or tool. You can then be sure that the equipment
will be correctly disposed of by the manufacturer.
Troubleshooting
The machine will not work:
- Check that the battery pack is connected
properly.
- Check that the battery is fully charged
If the machine will still not work despite the
checks being OK, please send it to the speciÿed
after-sales service address.

Cleaning
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor
housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible.
Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it
with compressed air at low pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device
immediately each time you have ÿnished using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth
and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents
or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts
of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep
into the device.
Lubricating
The cutter blades should be cleaned and
lubricated at regular intervals in order to ensure
best performance at all times. Remove deposits
with a brush and apply a thin ÿlm of oil.
Note: Please use biologically degradable oils.
Remove blockage
If the cutter blade is jammed during use, switch
it o˜ immedia tely and remove the battery from
the machine for inspection and removing the
blockage.
- Wear protective gloves.
- Remove the jammed branches with a tool, for
example, a screwdriver.
- Check if there are damages on the blade and let
it replaced by a qualiÿed person with the identical
spare parts supplied by the manufacturer if
necessary. Never use any damaged part!
Replacing the saw blade (A37-A38)
The saw blade can be worn during use. This will
reduce the cutting performance. The worn saw
blade shall be replaced. To do so,
- Hold the saw set (11) ÿrmly.
- Turn the clamp (a) clockwise as far as possible
and pull out the worn saw blade.
- Insert a new saw blade as far as possible and
release the clamp (a).
