WARNING!
When using electric gardening appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury, including the following:
Read all instructions.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock
and/or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

KEEP GUARDS IN PLACE
and in working order.

REMOVE ADJUSTING KEYS AND WRENCHES.
Form habit of checking to see that adjusting
wrenches are removed from the saw before turning it on.
• KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN.
Clear work area of branches and limbs after every cut. Cluttered
areas invite accidents.
• DON'T USE IN DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT.
Don't use power tools in damp or wet locations.
• DON'T USE THE POLE SAW IN THE RAIN.
• KEEP CHILDREN AWAY.
All visitors should be kept safe distance from work area.
• DON'T FORCE TOOL.
It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• USE RIGHT TOOL.
Donít force tool or attachment to do a job for which it was not designed.
• WEAR PROPER APPAREL.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry which may get caught in moving
parts. Use of rubber gloves and substantial footware is recommended when working outdoors.
Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
• ALWAYS USE SAFETY GLASSES.
Also use face or dust mask if cutting operation is dusty.
Everyday eyeglasses only have impact resistant lenses, they are NOT safety glasses.
• DON'T OVERREACH.
Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
• MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE.
Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest performance.
Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
• DISCONNECT TOOL.
Disconnect the Pole Saw from the power supply when not in use, before
servicing, when changing accessories or chain.
• REDUCE THE RISK OF UNINTENTIONAL STARTING.
Make sure switch is in off position before
plugging it into a power source.
• USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES.
Consult the owner's manual for recommended accessories.
The use of improper accessories may cause risk of injury.
• CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS.
Before each use, a guard or other part that is damaged should be
repaired replaced ñ check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is
damaged should be properly repaired or replaced.
• NEVER LEAVE TOOL RUNNING UNATTENDED.
Turn Power OFF. Don't leave saw until it comes to a
complete stop.
• AVOID UNINTENTIONAL STARTING.
Donít carry Pole Saw with finger on the switch.
• DON'T GRASP THE EXPOSED CUTTING BLADE OR CUTTING EDGES WHEN PICKING UP OR
HOLDNG SAW.
• STAY ALERT.
Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate Pole saw when you
are tired.
• STORE IDLE TOOL INDOORS.
When not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in dry, and
high or locked-up place ñ out of reach of children.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
NOTICE:
Below are instructions for servicing your Pole Saw. Any servicing not mentioned below
should be done by an authorized service center.
CLEANING SAW BODY
WARNING:
Unplug Pole Saw from power source before servicing. Sever injury or death could
occur from electrical shock or body contact with moving chain.
WARNING:
Cutting edges on chain and sharp. Use protective gloves when handling chain.
WARNING:
When cleaning Pole Saw body,
• Do not submerge Pole Saw in any liquids.
• Do not use products that contain ammonia, chlorine, or abrasives.
• Do not use chlorinated cleaning solvents, carbon tetrachloride, kerosene, or gasoline.
• Keep Pole Saw body clean. Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild soap and water mixture.
• Wipe Pole Saw body clean after each use.
STORAGE
Between uses Store Pole Saw: • Indoors
• In a high or locked place, out of childrenís reach.
• In a dry place.
• With cover over guide bar.
If storing Pole Saw for more than 30 days, follow steps below.
• Remove and clean guide bar and chain. Clean guide bar and chain by soaking in petroleum
based solvent or mild soap and water mixture.
• Dry guide bar and chain.
• Place chain in container filled with oil. This will prevent rust.
• Wipe a thin coating of oil over surface of guide bar.
• Wipe off outside of Pole Saw body with a soft cloth dampened with a mild soap and
water mixture.

Make first cut six inches from
tree trunk on underside of limb. Use top of
guide bar to make this cut. Cut 1/3 through
diameter of limb.

Move the Pole Saw four inches further out on
limb. Make second cut from above limb.
3. Continue cut until you cut limb off.
4. Make third cut as close to tree trunk as
possible on underside of limb stub. Use top of
guide bar to make this cut. Cut 1/3 through
diameter of stub.
5. Make fourth cut directly above third cut.
Cut down to meet third cut. This will remove
limb stub.
WARNING:
RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY. Use only accessories that are recommended by the
manufacturer for your model. Accessories that may be suitable for one tool, may become
hazardous when used on another tool.
