OPERATION
WARNING! Do not put your fingers in the head of the hydraulic punch during operation. Serious injury
can occur.
1. Select the appropriate punch & die set. If you are unsure, ask an authorized service technician
to choose a proper punch and die set for hole punching.
WARNING! Do not exceed the rated capacity of this tool; failure to do so will cause component failure,
which could launch broken parts with great force. Failure to observe this warning can result in severe
personal injury or death.
2. Drill a pilot hole 11.5 mm (0.45 in.) with an electric drill on the metal sheet.
3. Turn the turn screw counterclockwise to fully extend the ram. See figure 2.
4. Thread the draw stud completely into the ram. See figure 3.
5. Slide the spacer, if necessary, onto the draw stud and the die, then let the metal sheet go
through the draw stud by the hole. Last, thread the punch facing the steel plate. Make sure the
spacer, punch, die and material are in line. See figure 4.
