REPLACING CARBON BRUSHES

NOTE:

 

Always replace all carbon brushes at the same time. 

1.  Using the included parts list, locate the carbon brushes. 

2.  Remove the screws from the body.

3.  Pry the main body of the tool open using a flat head screwdriver.

4.  Remove the old brushes.

5.  Insert the new brushes.

6.  Run the motor for at least 15 minutes without load to align the new brushes  

with the commutator.

LUBRICATION

All bearings in this tool are lubricated with a sufficient amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the 

tool under normal conditions. Therefore, no further lubrication is required.

DISPOSING OF TOOL

If your tool has become damaged beyond repair, do not throw it out. Bring it to the appropriate  

recycling facility.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

If the tool does not function properly or if it is missing parts, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for a solution. If 

unable to do so, have a qualified technician service the tool.

Power supply is incorrect for the 

tool’s electrical rating.

Plug the tool into a 120V 60 Hz 

power supply

Tool is not properly attached to 

the power supply.

Ensure that the tool’s power cord 

is connected securely to the power 

supply and that the cord is not 

damaged in any way.

The wheel moves slowly

The wheel may not be  

securely attached

Tighten the nut that attaches the 

wheel to the spindle.

The tool components may  

need cleaning.

Disconnect the tool from the power 

supply and clean the components of 

the spindle.

Smoke results from 

operation of the tool.

There is a buildup of rust or 

debris in the wheel.

Immediately switch off the tool and 

disconnect from power  

supply. Remove the wheel from  

the spindle and clean all 

components thoroughly.
