SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1.  Do not start the tool when the grinding or cutting wheel is touching the work piece.
2.  Always ensure the safety guard is attached correctly and do not operate the angle grinder without the

guard attached.

3.  Only use grinding and cutting wheels that are approved for a speed of 11,000 RPM or greater.
4.  Only use grinding or cutting wheels with the correct bore size for the spindle of the grinder.
5.  Never install more than one disc at a time.
6.  Keep the power cord well away from the cutting area during use.

Always position the cord so that it will

not be caught in the work piece when the grinder is in use.

7.  Always use both hands when operating the tool.
8.  Before beginning work on your project, check if the cutting or grinding disk is in safe working

condition.

You can find out if a disk is defective or cracked by letting it run at no load in a safe environment

with the guard between you and the disk. After a minute, if the disk has not broken apart, it is considered in
good working condition.

9.  Hold the tool by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool

may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.

Contact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal parts of the

tool “live” and shock the operator.

10.  Before using the tool on an actual work piece, make a test run of the tool at the highest no-load speed

for at least 30 seconds in a safe position.

Stop immediately if there is any vibration or wobbling that could

indicate poor installation or a poorly balanced wheel. Check the tool to determine the cause.

11.  During long work periods do not allow the motor to overload and/or overheat, take work breaks.
12.  Watch out for flying sparks.

A large amount of sparks will be created when working with angle grinder. Hold

the tool so that sparks fly away from you and other persons or flammable materials. Keep up to date fire-
prevention safety instructions in the event of a fire.

13.  When the machine is in operation, keep hands away from the cutting or grinding area.
14.  Cutting discs must not be subjected to any lateral pressure.
15.  Do not use the tool on any materials containing asbestos.
16.  The disc will not stop immediately when the machine is turned off.

Exercise caution.

17.  Do not place the tool down after use until the grinding or cutting wheel has come to complete stop.
18.  Do not touch the grinding surface or the surface that has been cut with this tool immediately after

use.

The surface will be hot and you could injure yourself.

19.  Use the standard parts.

Do not use a coolant or water and do not use as a fixed grinder.

20.  Be careful not to damage the spindle, the flange (Especially the installing surface) or the lock nut.

Damage to these parts could result in wheel breakage.

21.  Never use tool with wood cutting blades or other saw blades.

Such blades when used on a grinder

frequently kick and cause loss of control leading to personal injury.
