Stop the tool by pressing the button of on/off switch.
SPEED CONTROLLER ACTION
The tool speed can be changed by turning the speed controller (6) to a given number setting from 1 to 6 (at the time when
the on/off switch is fully pulled). Higher speed is obtained when the dial is turned in the direction of number 6. And lower speed is
obtained when it is turned in the direction of number 1.
CAUTION:
If the tool is operated continuously at low speeds for along time, the motor will get overloaded, resulting in tool
malfunction. The speed controller (6) can be turned only as far as 6 and back to 1. Do not force it past 6 or 1,or the
speed adjusting function may no longer work.
ASSEMBLY
Warning: Switch off the grinder and disconnect it from the power point.
Note: You must use the cutting guard when using the cutting disc .
1. Place the backing washer over the spindle, making sure the fit is tight.
2. Place the grinding or cutting wheel on the top of the backing washer ensuring the bore fits into the
step of the flange.
3. Mount the concave recess side of the locking nut over the spindle.
4. Press the spindle lock and ensure there is no movement in the spindle. Then while the spindle lock
is depressed tighten the locking nut in a clockwise direction using the pin spanner.
5. Allow the angle grinder to run idle for at least a minute with the grinding or cutting disc correctly
assembled, a vibrating wheel should immediately be replaced.
6. The auxiliary handle (1) can be fitted to the left or the right. Select the position which gives the most
comfortable and safe use.
7. Fitting the grinding guard or cutting guard:
8. Open the guard trigger (A) mechanism of the grinding or cutting guard;
9. Position the lug on the inside of the central guard ring in the vertical slot in the spindle cover and
press the grinding or cutting guard onto the spindle cover; (See figure 1)
10. Twist the grinding or cutting guard to the appropriate position for either grinding or cutting (see
Fig. 2).
11. Lock the grinding or cutting guard in position by press the guard trigger.
PREPARATION
INSTALLATION OF THE WHEEL GUARD
1. Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before attempting to perform any
adjustments.
2. Install the wheel guard in a position that is convenient for operating. Make sure that it is in the
proper position and is not loose.
3. The wheel guard must be fitted on the tool so that the closed side of the guard always points
toward the operator.
INSTALLATION OF THE SIDE HANDLE
1. Attach the side handle firmly into the desired position. It can be installed in any of the two locations
on the machine’s housing.
2. The use of any other accessories or attachments might present a risk of injury to persons. Only
use accessory or attachment for its stated purpose.
INSTALLING OR REMOVING THE GRINDING DISC
Attention! Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before attempting to
perform any adjustments.
1. Only use discs from well-known manufacturers before the expiry date that is indicated on the
package. Remember, that disc’s properties are greatly influenced by the conditions of storage.
2. Mount the wheel guard on the inner flange and put the outer flange onto it.
3. To screw the disc securely press the shaft lock to stop the wheel and use a wrench after that.
IMPORTANT: put the protruding part of the outer flange close to disc if you mount sanding
disc, put the protruding part of the outer flange outside if you mount a cut-off disc.
4. To remove wheel guard, follow the installation procedure in reverse.
5. Place the inner flange (9) over the spindle making sure the fit is tight.
